Mrs. Ashley Shaw, Ms. Tina Martin, and Ms. Melissa Midland all enjoy seeing the kids light up when learning new things, enjoy communicating with sign language, and helping out with our Tornado Joe's coffee cart classroom store. Thank you to these outstanding professionals making a positive difference in the lives of our children on a daily basis.

Congratulations to Mrs. Shelly Graves for being selected as the September Teacher of the Month at TJHS. Our 8th grade ELA students are currently working on a Descriptive Writing Unit. Students are learning how to incorporate voice in their writing. Mrs. Graves and Mrs. Alberssen said, "This is pretty cool! We are using an idea that we got from attending one of the Smekens online Webinars!!!😜The kids are really getting into it!"

Mesage from Mrs. Reber's class--"We were coding the Spheros to revolve around the "sun" as if they were Earth. We then coded them to stop at each season and change color. Once they were finished, they added sounds and other features. It was so much fun!"

Mrs Howard's class is playing Disc Golf today. We received the targets and discs through a grant from Taylorville Public Schools Foundation
