TCUSD3 will dismiss at 2:30 pm today, May 25th, June 1, and June 2. June 3 will be a 1:00 pm dismissal.
Congratulations to Mr. John Long, the TJHS Red Apple recipient for the month of March. Mr. Long is a 26 year veteran teacher/coach/sponsor/mentor and encourager of young people. He enjoys watching kids develop a love for life-long exercise and activity. One of his fondest memories was hosting Miss Illinois to help teach a unit on the impact of AIDS. Mr. Long recently stepped up to sponsor a D & D Club here at TJHS and they have had a great time thanks to his willingness to supervise and spend extra time to provide the opportunity for our kids.

Congratulations to Mr. Dan Nieves our Red Apple 🍎 teacher of the month for April. Mr. Nieves brings energy and enthusiasm each and everyday to the halls of TJHS. He is a great teller of truth and espouses a love of country matched by few. Mr. Nieves believes in the power of education and shares his love of history in ways that challenge our kids to think deeply. He teaches because, "there is no other profession where one can have as profound and direct impact on their world." Dan serves on our school leadership team and continually advocates for student achievement and individual responsibility.
